Liz Koozmin worked variously as a cartographer, geologic map editor, technical editor, stratigraphic names expert, supervisor, and peer review checker for nearly 40 years.

In her new post-government life, she runs her own company, Catoctin Editorial Services, manages her husband’s business, and volunteers in social justice and religious programs in her community. This blog marks a transition to a new station in life in a new place. When all else fails, she plays with the dog.

She holds a B.S. in Geology with a minor in Writing from Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., and an M.S. in Geographic and Cartographic Science from George Mason University, Fairfax, Va.

Liz currently lives in Frederick, Md.
